Today, the China Electronics and Information Industry Development Research Institute released the report of China's home appliance market in the first half of 2019 (hereinafter referred to as the "home appliance market report") in Beijing. The report shows that the total retail sales of China's household appliances market reached 1-6 yuan in this year. The Jingdong ranked 22.7% in the Chinese household appliance market, the first retailer of all channels, and two or three, four in Tmall, Gome and Tmall.
Continuous ploughing product service
The home appliances market report pointed out that the contribution rate of online channels to home appliances sales increased further in the first half of this year, for the first time, more than 40%.
In the past ten years, Jingdong has promoted and participated in the reform and innovation of the household electrical appliance industry. It is understood that in 2016, Jingdong launched the "home appliance purchase index" for the first time, and constantly upgraded the "small secretary of electrical appliances" service. In recent years, Jingdong home appliances and China Quality Certification Center, China Household Electrical Appliance Research Institute, China Standardization Research Institute and many other agencies have continuously launched "Jingdong small household electrical appliances admittance standard", "household dehumidifier standard", "massage chair group standard" and other standards.
In May of this year, the Jingdong jointly with the Chinese Academy of standardization and other home appliance standards research institutions jointly issued the "Beijing appliance standards" based on C2M reverse customization. During this year's Jingdong 618 global Mid Year Shopping Festival, the average turnover of Beijing appliances is 4 times higher than in May, and the total sales volume is expected to exceed 10 million units throughout the year.
Release low level market appliances upgrading needs
The home appliances market report data show that the rural household electrical appliances online shopping has become a major driving force for the growth of the household electrical appliance market in the first half of the year. The sales growth of the major electricity suppliers from the village level market reached 96% in 1-6. And Jingdong sink through the channel, go deep into the county town village market, release the demand for appliances upgrading in the low level market.
It is reported that in 2009, Jingdong received the Ministry of Commerce's "home appliances to the countryside" retailer licence, becoming the first electricity supplier to undertake the task of home appliances to the countryside. In recent years, "channel sinking" has always been one of the core strategies of Jingdong appliance. By the end of June this year, the number of Jingdong's home appliance stores has exceeded 1, covering 25 thousand townships and about 600000 administrative villages.
This year, the Jingdong household appliance store has upgraded the whole system in a comprehensive way, and has further improved its operating efficiency through product specialization, operation system and digitalization of stores.
Besides the strategic investment of Five Star Electronics, the super experience store, which covers an area of more than 50 thousand square meters in Chongqing, will open this year. According to the plan, Jingdong household appliances will set up super experience stores with different areas in the 123 tier cities of China, and can integrate the more than 10000 home appliance stores in the county market to complete the offline experience layout, thus achieving the goal of "reconstructing a Jingdong household appliance under the line".
It is reported that the Jingdong 618 global Mid Year Shopping Festival, which has just concluded, includes more than 30 home appliances brands including the US, Haier, Hisense, millet, Konka, Changhong, TCL and PHILPS, which have opened nearly 200 production lines for Jingdong, producing more than 600 products for Jingdong. From 0 o'clock in June 18th, Jingdong's household appliances only used 2 minutes and 36 seconds, and the total turnover amounted to 1 billion yuan.
