The United States Imported Clothing From China To Southeast Asia, And Its Price Rose By More Than 20%.

According to Bangladesh's Financial Express, in 2019 1-5, Bangladesh exported to the United States the price of clothing products increased by 25.6%. In the price rise data released by the American fashion industry association, the countries rose differently. The price of clothing exported from Vietnam to the United States rose by 23.4%, India rose by 21.2%, and China rose by only 3.3%. Data show that in the first 5 months of 2019, the United States imported 10.7% of the clothing price from the world, and the United States imported clothing from China to clothing imported from Bangladesh, Vietnam and India. These import prices rose by more than 20% in the first 5 months of this year. The business executives surveyed said that because other parts of China do not have enough clothing processing capacity, they need to pay higher prices in Bangladesh to produce capacity.

The survey shows that Bangladesh is less attractive than its competitors in terms of product speed, adaptability, flexibility and compliance risks. According to data, in the past 10 years, 60% of the garments exported to Bangladesh are cotton fabrics. But there are different opinions in Bangladesh. Some people think that this statistic is not scientific and true. Others think that this rise will not last.
