The industrial base is located in the Qilu Chemical Industrial Zone of Zibo, including an annual output of 500 thousand tons of adiponectin plant, and is expected to become the first industrial production base of adiponectin in China after completion.

A large brokerage, chemical industry analyst believes that both sides are obviously trying to quickly push the project to the ground and take the lead in delivering products to the market. As one of the partners, Qi Xiang Tengda can not only share the benefits of the project itself, but also have more capacity and multiple benefits.

Breaking the monopoly of foreign technology

On the evening of July 25th, Qi Xiang Tengda announced that the company's participation in the establishment of Tianchen Qi Xiangxin Materials Co., Ltd. will invest in two phases to build an annual output of 1 million tons of nylon 66 new material industry base. Just 3 weeks later, the industrial base was officially built. According to the project information, the industrial base is planned to produce 1 million tons of nylon new material, 500 thousand tons of hexadiamine, 500 thousand tons of adiponitrile and 500 thousand tons of acrylonitrile annually.

Adiponectin is the key intermediate for the production of PA66 (commonly known as nylon 66) and is known as the throat of nylon industry chain. At present, the global production capacity of adiponectin is about 2 million tons, mainly concentrated in four enterprises, such as Ying Wei, O Sheng De, BASF (including sol Wei) and Asahi Kasai. Among them, it has more than 50% of its market share. It is also the only manufacturer to sell adiponectin in large quantities.

Because of its high technical barriers and high investment threshold, the domestic "adiponectin hexamethylene diamine nylon 66" industry chain is seriously mismatched, and the global nylon 66 consumption is mainly concentrated in China. However, domestic adiponectin is 100% dependent on imports and pricing is controlled by others. After the completion of the 1 million ton / year nylon new material industrial base, Tianchen Qixiang will break the monopoly of foreign technology and fill the gap of domestic technology and industry.

Jiao Zaiyue, general manager of China Tianchen Engineering Co., Ltd., said the Tianchen Qixiang project used the self developed butadiene method to synthesize adiponectin, and it was also the first patent technology with independent intellectual property rights in China. The technology passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by the Sinopec Federation in September 2015, and its products reached the advanced level of international similar products.

As the project base is adjacent to Qixiang Tengda, it will give full play to the synergy advantage of Qi Xiang Tengda in the supply of raw materials such as butadiene and public facilities in the park. It can provide stable raw material supply to the new nylon material industry base and is very beneficial to cost control.

Faced with the rapid growth of domestic market demand, the international adiponectin giant is also in the layout. In February this year, the SCIP and Shanghai signed a memorandum of understanding - the design plan for starting the production base of 400 thousand tons of adiponectin, planned to start construction in 2020 and put into operation in 2023.

According to the plan, the first phase of the project is 3 years, and has been put into operation since fourth. From the time of commissioning, both sides anchored the 2023. At present, the Shanghai project has not yet been officially launched. Tianchen Qixiang is the first to start construction, and is expected to take the lead in putting products into the market.

Whoever takes the lead in putting products into the market will be able to take advantage of the market. After all, adiponectin has long been relying on imports for a long time. The downstream side is eager to break the existing market structure as soon as possible. " The analyst said.

The analyst said that although Tianchen Qi Xiangzhong accounted for only 10% of the shares, but the project is very positive for Qi Xiang Tengda, "in addition to sharing the proceeds of the project, Qi Xiang Tengda will provide Tianqi Qixiang with butadiene, propylene, steam and by-products of hydrogen, which will help to revitalize Qixiang Tengda surplus capacity, extend the industrial chain, and enhance the added value of products."

Since 2016, cedar Holdings has been working on new chemical materials in Tengda. Currently, it is promoting 700 thousand tons / year propane dehydrogenation (PDH), 300 thousand ton / year propylene oxide, and a new 200 thousand ton / year methyl methacrylate (MMA).
