Influence Of Ring Traveller On Yarn Hairiness
Rings and travellers are high-speed components and key components of ring spinning, which directly affect spinning production level and product quality. Rings and travellers are inseparable as rail and train. Their influence on spinning production is mainly the broken rate of spinning, which affects the speed and efficiency of spinning frame. Their influence on the quality of products is mainly yarn hairiness. According to relevant statistics, 30% to 40% of yarn hairiness is caused by rings and travellers. In addition, the bad combination of steel collar and traveller will also form white powder of yarn cotton and fly and chemical fiber yarn.
Influence of ring traveller on Yarn Hairiness
The influence of steel collar and traveller on yarn hairiness is mainly in three aspects.
One
Steel collar and traveller yarn channel discomfort form Mao Yu
When the traveller is running on the steel collar, it will cause partial wear of the traveller, as shown in Figure 1. The yarn will form a yarn passage when running on the travellers. If the travellers of the travellers are close to or crossed with the rings and the worn areas of the travellers, the yarns will slide into the wearing place when they run, and the yarn will be rubbed to generate hairiness. Even the yarn will be cut off to form a broken end, especially when the steel wire loops are small and the channels are narrow.
Two
The decline of collar leads to Mao Yu.
The essence of the decline of the ring is the use of steel collar for a long time or improper use, resulting in serious wear on the surface of the ring runway and reducing the friction factor between the ring and the traveller, resulting in a sudden decrease in the tension of the spinning, resulting in the impact of the expansion of the balloon and the impact of the spun board, resulting in Mao Yu.
The hairiness formed by the recession of the ring collar is sometimes obviously distributed in the length of the yarn, similar to the regular uneven evenness, which is easy to be confused. The hairiness curve shown in Figure 2 is measured by the SDL-98 yarn hairiness tester, and is checked by the decline of the collar. When the spindle is formed at the bottom, the balloon expands and hits the screen plate to produce Mao Yu. The ring plate is formed with a periodic Mao Yu once every time it rises and falls. When the bottom is formed, the air ring is reduced and no longer hits the spacer plate. The periodicity of Mao Yu does not happen again.
The Mao Yu instrument of USTER3 and 4 evenness tester can test the total length of Mao Yu on every cm yarn at high speed, and give Mao Yu curves and spectrograms, which are divided into 12 grades according to the length of Mao Yu, and their Mao Yu exponents are calculated respectively. Figures 3 and 4 show the curves and spectra of hairiness index. From this, we can see that the sample is a strong periodic hairiness wave with a wavelength of about 5.75 m, and the exponential curve is a typical hairiness curve of the balloon striking the spacer plate. The A to B is the binding layer, the steel collar plate decreases, the balloon becomes bigger and the hairiness increases. B to C is the winding layer, the collar plate rises, the air circle gradually decreases, and the hairiness decreases.
Three
The ring traveller is too light and the yarn tension is too small to form Mao Yu.
The weight of the traveller is too light, the yarn tension is too small, the operation is not stable, the air ring is big, the lifting head is light, the yarn is jitter, the air ring expands to hit the gauze board to generate the hairiness, but the general hairiness does not have the obvious rule. In addition, the ring traveler is too light, which will reduce the torque of twisting triangle area, and widen the triangle area and increase Mao Yu. However, excessive weight of the travellers will increase the spinning tension, causing the steel collar to wear easily, which will be unfavorable to reduce yarn hairiness and broken ends.

If the three centers of steel collar, spindle and guide hook are not positioned correctly, it will cause a skew spindle and a skew ring, which will also cause a hairpin to increase the hairiness.
