Bazhou Vigorously Promotes Cotton Industry Upgrading. In 2019, Lint Output Is Estimated To Be Around 450 Thousand Tons.

Recently, from the Bazhou agricultural and rural Bureau, Bazhou has vigorously promoted the upgrading of the cotton industry this year. It has set up a national cotton breeding base and a leading group of the national cotton industry alliance, a high-quality cotton production base. It has been trying to build the national cotton brand of CCIA (National Cotton Industry Alliance). It plans to promote the CCIA high end cotton test area 500 thousand mu, and produce 140 thousand tons of high-end cotton. It is estimated that by 2021, the area will be 3 million mu, and 420 thousand tons of raw cotton will be produced.


In recent years, Bazhou has taken the structural reform of the agricultural supply side as the main line. It has comprehensively promoted the application of integrated cotton technology in terms of planting, management and marketing. It has promoted cotton to concentrate on high quality and high yield cotton areas, and has become one of the three major cotton producing areas in Xinjiang and an important national high quality commodity cotton base. In 2019, Bazhou's cotton planting area is estimated to be 3 million 284 thousand and 600 mu, and its lint yield is about 450 thousand tons. On this basis, Bazhou vigorously supports textile and garment enterprises to continuously increase their capacity and expand their scale. By the end of 2018, there were 106 textile, clothing, dyeing and garment enterprises in Bazhou, forming 1 million 500 thousand capacities of ring spinning, 1 million 500 thousand spindles, 172 thousand and 700 heads of vortex spinning and 70 thousand heads of vortex spinning. In particular, Shandong Kangping intelligent dyeing and Huitong printing and dyeing project put into operation to fill the blank of Xinjiang cheese dyeing and printing.


Since 2017, relying on the advantages of the cotton industry, Bazhou has taken the initiative to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the national cotton industry alliance. The leading group of the Bazhou cotton industry has been set up by the national cotton industry alliance, and jointly formulated the Bazhou experimentation area construction and implementation plan, planning the expected target for 5 years. In 2018, Bazhou and the national cotton industry alliance jointly promoted the CCIA high-end cotton experimental area 300 thousand mu, and produced 70 thousand tons of high quality raw cotton. This year we plan to produce 140 thousand tons of medium and high grade raw cotton. We expect to produce 420 thousand tons of high quality raw cotton by 2021, and push CCIA high-end cotton brand into the middle end and high-end market of the cotton textile industry chain.
