The Seventh International Forum On The Development Of Comprehensive Utilization Of Waste Textiles Is Held In Nanjing.

In October 21st, the Seventh International Forum on the development of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles was held successfully in Nanjing. The forum was co sponsored by the China Circular Economy Association and the Swedish Embassy in China. The Specialized Committee of the circular economy Association of China used the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles, supported by the Alan Macarthur foundation and happy home textile Co., Ltd. The theme of this forum is "upgrading the development level of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles and helping the construction of cities without waste", focusing on discussing and communicating the policy mechanism, technological progress, standard construction and business mode of the comprehensive utilization of waste textiles at home and abroad. This forum is chaired by Du Huanzheng, director of the Circular Economy Research Institute of Tongji University.

He pointed out that the textile industry is one of the most resource consuming industries in the world, and the textile industry is undergoing the most fundamental transformation. The Swedish government placed sustainable development on the top of the political agenda and created the circular economy committee, aiming at strengthening the transformation of Sweden's efficient utilization of resources, recycling economy and sustainable development. He pointed out that sustainable production alone is not enough. It also needs to change the way of consumption and encourage more sustainable consumption.

It has expanded the way of comprehensive utilization of waste textiles, and has promoted the economic and social benefits of recycled materials.

Zhao Guoliang, Professor of Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, delivered a speech entitled "summary of the comprehensive utilization technology of waste textiles in China", introduced the sorting technology of waste textiles, second-hand clothing disinfection technology, waste textile physical regeneration technology, chemical regeneration technology, and put forward the development trend of the comprehensive utilization technology of waste textiles. First, sorting technology will continue to upgrade; two, the second-hand clothing market will be opened in the future; three, the reuse of physical products will be diversified; four, chemical reusing need to reduce costs and improve quality; five, the regeneration process and product quality inspection and evaluation methods will continue to improve.
