    In 1-9 months, the total import and export volume of China's silk products was 1 billion 487 million US dollars, down 39.82% from the same period last year, accounting for 0.67% of the total import and export volume of textiles and garments.

    Export situation

    Silk exports amounted to US $1 billion 316 million, down 42.85% from the same period last year, accounting for 0.65% of our textile and clothing exports. Over the same period, exports of textiles and clothing fell by 2.81% over the same period last year.

    Export commodity structure

    There are no obvious changes in the export situation of the three main categories of silk goods, and the decline in exports of silk products continues to narrow slightly. In 1-9 months, silk exports decreased by 20.95% compared to the same period, accounting for 23.26%, the number of exports decreased by 4.14% compared with the same period last year, the export unit price decreased by 17.54% compared with the same period last year, the export of silk and silk fabrics decreased 26.61%, accounting for 27.13%, the export unit price decreased by 13.2% compared with the same period last year, and the export of silk finished goods decreased by 54.31% compared with that of the previous year.

    Main export markets

    The five markets before the export of silk goods were stable, and the decline in exports to India was significantly expanded. The top five markets were: the European Union (down 36.74%, accounting for 29.25%), the United States (down 44.52%, accounting for 18.59%), India (down 13.35%, accounting for 9.3%), Hongkong (8.24%, 7.93%), and Japan (14.94%, or 7.21%).

    Silk export market

    The EU has surpassed India to return to the top of our silk export market, and the two share is very close. The top five ranked as follows: the European Union (down 35.41%, accounting for 30.6%), India (down 6.17%, 29.2%), Japan (down 17.95%, accounting for 12.52%), ASEAN (down 26.87%, accounting for 11.49%), and South Korea (10.91%, accounting for 2.99%).

    2. Market situation of silk and satin export

    Pakistan has returned to third place in our silk export market, and there has been no significant change in other major export markets. The top five countries and regions are: the European Union (down 29.49%, 30.73%), Hongkong (down 11.98%, 11.53%), Pakistan (down 54.35%, 9.97%), India (6.07%, or 9.02%), ASEAN (11.63%, or 7.62%).

    3. Export market of silk products

    The decline in exports of silk products to the US and EU markets continued to narrow and the main export markets remained stable. The top five countries and regions are: the United States (down 45.98%, accounting for 34.36%), the European Union (down 41.04%, accounting for 27.81%), Hongkong (4.09% lower than the same period last year, accounting for 9.46%), Japan (down 12.91%, accounting for 6.58%), and ASEAN (an increase of 9.2%, accounting for 4%).

    Export situation of provinces and municipalities

    Jiangsu exceeds Guangdong in a narrow margin, ranking the second place in the silk commodity export cities and provinces. The ranking of major provinces and cities in turn is: Zhejiang (down 17.82%, accounting for 39.27%), Jiangsu (year-on-year decline of 12.59%, accounting for 15.33%), Guangdong (down 78.84%, 15.31%), Shanghai (down 13.24%, 7.87%), Shandong (22.18%, accounting for 6.22%). The total exports of the top 5 provinces accounted for 84% of the total exports of the country.

    Under the general trade mode, exports accounted for a long-term stability of 90%. The general trade pattern was exported to US $1 billion 189 million, down 16.17% from the same period last year, accounting for 90.38%, and other trade modes exported 51 million 123 thousand US dollars, down 93.56% from the same period last year, accounting for 3.88%.

    Two import situation

    In 1-9 months, the imports of silk fabrics amounted to US $171 million, an increase of 1.5% over the same period last year, accounting for 0.93% of the imports of textiles and garments. Over the same period, imports of textiles and clothing fell by 6.78% over the same period last year.

    Import commodity structure

    Imports of silk and silk fabrics increased year by year and imports of silk products increased year-on-year. Silk imports increased by 16.47% over the same period, accounting for 9.97%, the number of imports increased by 8.82% over the same period last year, the import price increased by 7.04% over the same period last year, the imports of silk and silk fabrics decreased by 17.51% compared to the same period last year, accounting for 11.31%, the import unit price increased by 11.46% compared to the same period last year, and the imports of silk products increased by 2.97% over the same period, accounting for 78.5%, and the import unit price increased by 13.49% over the same period.

    Source of imports

    ASEAN's position continued to rise, which exceeded Korea's fourth place in the import of silk goods, and other major sources ranked and accounted for a stable proportion. The first five sources of imports of silk fabrics were: the European Union (an increase of 6.86% over the same period, accounting for 69.87%), People's Republic of China (a year-on-year decline of 29.95%, accounting for 10.94%), India (an increase of 18.96% over the previous year), ASEAN (an increase of 2.2% over the previous year, accounting for 2.18%), and Korea (an increase of 28.33%, accounting for 2.09%).

    Import and export of provinces and cities

    Import situation of major import and export provinces and cities has not changed significantly. Specifically as follows: Shanghai (an increase of 7.69%, accounting for 69.51%), Guangdong (24.3% lower than the same period last year, accounting for 8.9%), Beijing (an increase of 1.56% over the previous year, accounting for 6.44%), Zhejiang (an increase of 2.36% over the same period, 5.98%), and Jiangsu (a decrease of 8.81%, accounting for 2.31%). The top 5 provinces and cities accounted for 93.14% of the total imports of the country.
