In December 3rd, the official website of the Ministry of industry and Commerce released the economic performance of the garment industry in 2019 1-10. In the 1-10 month of 2019, there were 13760 enterprises in the garment industry (above 20 million yuan and above), with a total operating income of 13077 billion yuan, a decrease of 0.2% over the same period last year. The total profit was 68 billion 500 million yuan, a decrease of 3.4% compared with the same period last year. The operating income margin was 5.24%, which was 0.17 percentage points lower than that of the same period last year.
In 2019 1-10, the total retail sales of consumer goods in China totaled 334778 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1% over the same period, of which retail sales of clothing retail units above 767 billion 500 million yuan, an increase of 2.6% over the same period last year. The online retail sales of physical goods in China amounted to 65172 billion yuan, an increase of 19.8% over the same period last year. In the online retail sales of physical commodities, clothing products grew by 7.1% over the same period last year.
