It is also the largest Christmas product gathering place in the Pearl River Delta, where hundreds of businessmen are making toys, gifts, ornaments and other Christmas products. They are sold to more than 70 countries and regions. The official told reporters that the sales volume of products declined this year due to the impact of the overall foreign trade environment.

Ms. Huang, a wholesaler, has been making Christmas toys for 16 years. In the past, foreign businessmen came to pick up Christmas products every year in June. Many foreign customers responded to her, their domestic consumption was weak, and their life was not good.

Ms. Huang: those foreign customers are not good enough to do business. Foreign customers are generally cheap. They do not want to pay the rent, because the purchasing power is not so strong.

Also feel the pressure of the jewelry business, Ms. Luo, she told reporters that both sides of the channel were her storefront, this year she gave up half of the store, only to preserve these shelves.

Ms. Luo: over 50% of this year's sales volume is at least less than half, so we are trying to figure out how to do more new items to see if they are suitable for these guests.

Competition from the same industry has also brought some pressure to the Christmas products industry in the Pearl River Delta. In the interview with reporters, we contacted many enterprises engaged in Christmas products such as Dongguan, Zhongshan, Shenzhen and so on. Most enterprises think that the design of Christmas products needs updating and quality needs to be strengthened, which are urgent problems to be solved at the moment.

"South cold East heat" Yiwu Christmas products exports increased by 20%

In the global Christmas market, Yiwu, a small town in eastern China, accounts for 80% of the market share. It can be described as the world's largest "Christmas goods factory". So what happened to the sales of Christmas products in the Pearl River Delta? What about Yiwu's sales?

In the Christmas products area of Yiwu International Trade City, Zhejiang, there are more than 400 Christmas products merchants, and 80% of the world's Christmas products are from here.

In a shop in A District of Yiwu International Trade City, Chen Xiaofang, the shopkeeper, is sorting out the merchandise, and all kinds of Christmas products such as Christmas hats, Christmas clothes and Christmas stockings are covered with walls. There are more than 500 different samples of the Christmas hat. Chen Xiaofang told reporters that their merchandise exports accounted for more than 80%, mainly exported to central Europe, Russia, Southeast Asian countries. This year's sales are basically unchanged from previous years.

Zhejiang Yiwu International Trade City merchants Chen Xiaofang: compared with the past, the volume is much larger now, but the profit space is much less. Because of the rising price of raw materials, we also have artificial price increases.

Ye hang, a customs analyst at Yiwu Customs Department, Zhejiang Province: from 2019 to October, the export of Christmas products in Yiwu totaled 1 billion 920 million yuan, an increase of 23.9% over the same period last year. This growth rate is 10.6 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year. This year's export situation of Christmas products is also not good.

Yiwu's Christmas products are rising rapidly, and prices are improving.

Nowadays, the number of businessmen specializing in Christmas products industry in Yiwu has broken through 500, which actually covers a whole chain of production, sale and packaging of Christmas products. So, besides the continuous expansion of the industrial scale, how can the businessmen in Yiwu seize the market by enhancing the competitiveness of their products?

The green cedar is decorated with snow, which is decorated with gold and silver bells. This is the favorite of European and American customers. Red, green and blue lights are used to match the color of the flowers. They are popular among enthusiastic customers in South America. A Christmas tree factory in Yiwu is filled with samples that will be sent to customers from all countries. Ceng Fuhai, the director, told reporters that although Christmas has not passed this year, they have invested in the design, development and proofing of new products next year.

Today, Christmas products in Yiwu are more beautiful, but the prices are even better. At first, the price of the PVC material Christmas tree sold in the market is only tens of yuan. Now the price of the Christmas tree with different shapes and unique PE materials is between 100 and 300 yuan. The wholesale price of the former Christmas ball is only 10 yuan, and the luminescent LED lighting pendant is 50 yuan.

Christmas tree sales are also a windy direction for Christmas consumption. So what kind of Christmas tree is more popular in Britain?
