According to the statistics of business community, as of December 16th, the DTY of nylon filament in Jiangsu area was 16700 yuan / ton, compared with the beginning of the month, it dropped by 233 yuan / ton, or 1.38%, down 22.57% compared with the same period last year. The price of nylon POY was 14280 yuan / ton, compared with the beginning of the month, it fell 400 yuan / ton, or 2.72%, down 24.28% compared with the same period last year, and the price of nylon FDY was 17900 yuan / ton, which dropped by 600 yuan / ton compared with the beginning of the month.

Crude oil prices soared in early December due to a sharp decline in US crude oil inventories while OPEC tended to extend the production date. Benzene rose sharply, the weekly increase of up to 7.74%. Domestic cyclohexanone manufacturers do not offer much at present. The level of shipment is around 7200-7300 yuan / ton, and the inventory level is low near the end of the year. Most of them are in line with downstream orders. Downstream PA6 most enterprises low inventory, strong price, demand side slightly improved, most rational wait and see.

Near the end of the year, most enterprises go back to stock in inventory, and the price of nylon filament continues weak. In the view of nylon raw materials, upstream raw materials are generally warmer due to crude oil driving. On the other hand, Sino US trade relations have eased up and developed well, and market confidence has been boosted. But the market is coming to an end, the number of nylon orders is limited, and the recovery of downstream demand may not wait until next year, and we should be cautious about raw material procurement. Therefore, the enthusiasm of raw material purchasing for nylon manufacturers has not changed rapidly.

From the perspective of nylon POY and raw material price chart, the correlation between PA6 and nylon POY price is relatively strong, the trend is basically the same. Recently, the price of crude oil has increased, and the price of cyclohexanone and PA6 has been warmer.

Business analysts believe that rising oil prices and trade relations between China and the United States have boosted market confidence, and raw materials in the upstream of nylon have been warmer. Nylon filament stabilized after the beginning of the month, and is expected to remain stable in the case of strong raw material support.
