AAFA is the trade association of the United States representing clothing and footwear products and other sewing products companies and their suppliers, including more than 1000 world famous brands, representing a retail market of over 400 billion dollars.

On the contrary, in 2018, AAFA publicly accused Amazon of not doing enough to combat counterfeit goods and asked the US government to take action against Amazon, calling for the inclusion of Amazon's international platform in the list of notorious markets in the US trade office. In October this year, AAFA urged the US trade representative office again to include the foreign domain names owned and operated by Amazon in the notorious market blacklist.
