Yunnan Textile Industry Three Group Standards Issued Officially Related To School Uniform, Bedding, Combed Cotton Production Management.

In January 5th, the Yunnan Textile Association's 2020 innovation and development conference was held in Kunming on the theme of "forge ahead in a new era and build a dream of cloud spinning". At the meeting, three standards of school uniform, bedding and combed cotton production management standard were formally promulgated. In the Yunnan local standard issued by the student apartments (dormitories) bedding, the specifications and requirements of beddings for students' Apartments (dormitories) are stipulated. They are suitable for bedding items of students' Apartments (dormitories) in colleges, secondary vocational schools, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, etc., which are made of textile materials. In the school uniform standard, the direct contact with the skin of the school uniform is stipulated. The nominal value of the cotton fiber content should not be less than 35%, thus effectively ensuring the safety of the school uniform. In the code for production management of combed cotton, 11 standards, including specifications, grading and testing methods, are specified.

According to Fu Changxing, President of Yunnan Textile Association, in recent years, in order to promote the standardized management and scale development of Yunnan textile industry, with the professional support of Yunnan Provincial Bureau of inspection and quarantine, the Yunnan textile association organizes the quality assurance capability of the cotton production and processing enterprises in Yunnan province annually, announces the list of qualified enterprises, and registers the qualified enterprises into the government group procurement entry catalogue, which prohibits the entry of unqualified products into the market. At the same time, specialized agencies were set up to purchase waste materials from cotton spinning enterprises, waste materials from graduates of large and medium sized colleges and universities, daily life of hotels and restaurants, and waste products that were not used for domestic use. The release of the three group standards of school uniform, bedding and combed cotton production management standard has played a positive role in improving the quality and management level of Yunnan textile industry and promoting the healthy development of Yunnan textile industry.

In addition, in order to vigorously promote the industrial upgrading and brand promotion of Yunnan textile industry, Yunnan Textile Association organized the quality rating of Yunnan textile enterprises in 2019, and at the meeting, awarded the 3A, 4A and 5A rating enterprises. The list of quality assurance capability of the group purchasing bedding products was also released. On the same day, the textile inspection laboratory jointly established by Yunnan Textile Association and vice president unit Yunnan Yun Test Quality Inspection Co., Ltd. was built and put into operation.

The three group standards announced were led by Yunnan Fiber Inspection Bureau, Yunnan Textile Association, Yunnan Education Logistics Association and Yunnan product quality supervision and Inspection Research Institute. Kunming University of Science and Technology, Kunming No. 1 middle school, Yunnan Normal University kindergarten, Yun Nanchang Xing Clothing Co., Ltd., Yiliang Heng Hui Cotton Industry Co., Ltd. and Xuanwei City Rong Hui Trading Company participated in the drafting and formulation of the standards.
