Zhang Ruiyun said, do not underestimate the color, although the color is visible, it is very difficult to use the naked eye to completely distinguish, and can not be accurately expressed in language. The same fabric color, different people will have different perception effect. The material and structure of the fabric will also have a great influence on the color of the fabric.

    As a big textile country, China produces about 100000000000 tons of textile fabrics per year. But in the development of fabric, the expression of color depends on the experience of factory teachers. The development cycle of fabrics is often seven to eight days due to the need of artificial color matching and physical samples.

    Faced with the common problem of textile enterprises, Zhang Ruiyun began to carry out scientific research in the field of fabric color matching and simulation. From 2012 to the present, it has been seven years since the beginning of the drill. Professor Zhang Ruiyun has started exploring the source, and has independently developed the reflectance spectrum system and the high coverage color gamut system of the full spectrum dye, and created a spectral matching model of mixed color and monochromatic, which ensured the high matching of the mixed color sample and the monochromatic fabric.

    The innovative color matching technology of yarn and fabric developed by team innovation not only achieves the prediction of fabric color, but also improves the accuracy of color matching at the same time by more than 95%.

    The key technology and industrialization of textile fabric color digitalization is a fruitful result of industry university research cooperation. Relying on the advantages of Donghua University's textile discipline, the Zhang Ruiyun team worked together with the world's leading high-grade yarn dyed fabric production company, Lu Tai textile Limited by Share Ltd, to jointly tackle tough points and difficult problems in the production process of textile enterprises, and to strengthen innovation guidance.

    Zhang Ruiyun runs around Shanghai and Shandong, and produces first-line research. The data in the laboratory is tested over and over again, and the lights of countless days and nights are always on.

While studying doctorate, his research direction extended to the application of computer graphics and image technology in spinning and weaving.
