When he saw Zhu Jianping, the book "border town" and other books on the table attracted reporters' attention. Zhu Jianping said frankly that his interests and hobbies were not only writing novels, but reading books.

"I like reading books, which is influenced by my father. My father likes reading books very often, he often borrows books or buys books to come back to see. Slowly, I was also influenced by my father to form the habit of reading. " Zhu Jianping said with a smile. The traditional literature of "Yue Yue Quan Zhuan" and "Yang Jia Jiang" became the spiritual food of Zhu Jianping when he was young, and laid a solid foundation for Zhu Jianping's future creation.

The first time to write novels was in 2005, when Zhu Jianping began to enter the field of novel creation with the advice and support of famous writer Xie Fanger of Shaoxing. Zhu Jianping, who used to be engaged in writing, thought that writing was not a difficult task. Let alone a certain foundation, he felt that writing novels should be wonderful. But what he did not expect was that creation was a difficult task. "At the very beginning, I wrote those articles," said Xie Fang, "the praise is nothing like literature." Although it is difficult to get started, Zhu Jianping learned how to write and learn how to write little by little thanks to Xie Fang's help and support. "Teacher Xie has always been very supportive of me. He often helps and modifies my work as a teacher changes his student's composition."

4 years passed, and Zhu Jianping also succeeded in transformation. In January 2009, his first short story "eight feet board" was published in weeds. "This novel is written by a police station at the grass-roots level. During the typhoon days, people received help from the police, and many police officers did not have any help from the police. During the interview, Zhu Jianping told reporters that "light textile city" started with several small people, and described the changes and growth process of Keqiao Textile City from 1988 to 2008. When asked why it was displayed by small people instead of on the whole, Zhu Jianping said, "actually writing this novel from the overall perspective is indeed a way, but I am just a grass-roots worker. I don't know much about the interpretation of policies and the work of the government. The stories of these little people are all my own experiences, or some things I know with my friends in the process of chatting. The smaller the story is, the more it can reflect the vicissitude of Keqiao, because the little ones must follow the changes of Keqiao, so as to better reflect the development history of Keqiao in recent years. Zhu Jianping said that a large number of township textile factories described at the beginning of the novel, because of overcapacity, led to the fact that workers' wages could only be replaced by cloth. These are stories that Zhu Jianping once had touched or heard.

"Textile City" has been published, but the birth of this novel is not as simple as people imagine. Zhu Jianping said that when he first started writing this novel, he tried to find a breakthrough point, he spent all day thinking about it, even the unit was treated for recuperation, and all his colleagues went out to play. He sat alone in front of the computer, soaking instant noodles and eating to find his way of thinking. "Finding a breakthrough point is really a headache for me. At the very beginning, I wanted to write it from the third person, but it was hard to be thorough. Later on, I suddenly thought why I didn't use the first person's writing to show the growth and change of the textile city through what people heard and saw. Zhu Jianping opened his mind as soon as he opened the train of thought.

"I always thought that I and the textile city were like fish and water." Zhu Jianping took this as the beginning and completed the creation of nearly more than 50 thousand words in only 4 days. In September 2018, Zhu Jianping completed the first draft of the novel.

Zhu Jianping also told reporters: "my novel is only written in 2008, when the electricity supplier was not hot, so the novel can basically be called" Textile City (above) ".
