Indonesian Safeguard Measures For Imported Fabrics
In March 3, 2020, the WTO safeguards Committee issued a notice on safeguards submitted by the delegation of Indonesia on February 28. The Indonesian Investigation Agency made a final decision on the protective measures for imported fabrics (Fabrics). It suggested that the import fabrics should be implemented in special customs form from May 27, 2020 to November 8, 2022.
The interested parties should submit an electronic and paper consultation application within 7 days after the announcement.
In September 18, 2019, Indonesia launched an investigation into the safeguard measures for imported fabrics. In November 5, 2019, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued announcement No. 162/PMK.010/2019, and decided to implement temporary safeguard measures for imported fabrics from November 9, 2019 to May 26, 2020 for 200 days. The tax numbers of the products involved are 5208.12.00, 5208.32.00, 5208.49.00, 5208.51.90, 5208.52.90, 5209.12.00, 5209.22.00, 5209.29.00, 6006.42.90, 6006.43.90, 6006.44.10, and so on.
