The law of the People's Republic of China on National Security stipulates that the act of endangering national security as mentioned in this Law refers to the acts of foreign organizations, organizations or individuals that implement or instruct or assist others to implement, or the collusion between domestic organizations and individuals with overseas institutions, organizations and individuals, and the following acts that jeopardize People's Republic of China's national security:

(1) conspiracy to subvert the government, to split the country and to overthrow the socialist system;

Regarding the obligations of social organizations and individual citizens in safeguarding national security, the seventy-seventh article of the national security law clearly stipulates the following aspects:

1 observe the relevant provisions of the constitution, laws and regulations concerning national security;

2 timely reporting clues for endangering national security activities;

3 truthfully provide evidence that is known to involve activities endangering national security;

4 to provide convenient conditions or other assistance for national security work;

5, provide necessary support and assistance to state security organs, public security organs and relevant military organs;

6 the state secrets that are kept secret;

7 other obligations stipulated by laws and administrative regulations.

In addition, the article clearly stipulates that no individual or organization shall have any act of endangering national security, nor shall he provide any assistance or assistance to any person or organization endangering national security.
