Among them, the output of non-woven Enterprises above designated size increased by 2.34%, operating income increased by 19.30%, total profits increased by 254.62%, operating profit reached 13.22%, an increase of 8.77 percentage points, and the total operating income and profit of industrial textile enterprises such as filtration, medical, transportation, protection and other industries increased by 2.48% and 31.01% respectively, and the operating profit rate was 7.12%, increasing by 1.55 percentage points. The operating income of ropes, textile belts, cord fabrics, sail and so on decreased by 5.84%, 22.03% and 17.62% respectively, and the total profit decreased by 2.74%, 52.4% and 21.03% respectively. The epidemic had a great impact on these fields.

According to customs data, China's industrial textiles exports totaled US $17 billion 257 million in 1~4 months in 2020, up by 79.62% over the same period last year, and imports totaled US $3 billion 232 million, up 51.09% over the same period last year. In the main export products, the export volume of masks and medical protective clothing increased by 986.36% and 565.6% respectively. The export volume of nonwovens, diaper sanitary napkins and industrial fiberglass products increased by 3.32%, 1.58% and 3.98%, respectively, while the export volume of industrial coated fabrics, sail sails, packaging and cord fabrics decreased by 13.01%, 20.12%, 24.05% and 16.68% respectively. In terms of imports, the imports of masks and medical protective clothing were 861 million US dollars and 274 million US dollars respectively, and the imports of nonwovens amounted to US $350 million, an increase of 26.46% over the same period last year.

Masks, protective clothing, disinfectant wipes and their main raw materials are all industrial textiles. Due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the global demand for these products has increased dramatically. The capacity of our melted nonwoven fabric has expanded rapidly. The production and sales of respirators, protective clothing and disinfectant wipes have increased significantly, and the economic efficiency of the enterprises has improved significantly, which has led to the rapid growth of the textile industry in the whole industry. At present, the peak of global demand for infectious materials is over, and the industry chain of anti epidemic materials will face deep adjustment. It is hoped that enterprises can rationally view the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic on the development of the industry, take the initiative to carry out structural adjustment and basic capacity building, and deal with the fluctuations brought about by the sharp fall in demand after the outbreak, so as to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
