China is one of the main export destinations of cotton in Pakistan, but since April of this year, Pakistan's cotton exports have been depressed. The economic indicators of China's textile market rebounded in May. Although the retaliatory consumption has not yet arrived, the garment industry has actively adjusted its strategy to achieve gradual recovery. Because cotton early sowing seedlings are damaged by locusts, cotton production in Pakistan will be lower than expected in the previous 8 million packages. Domestic demand for cotton in Pakistan is expected to resume in June following the government's gradual lifting of the blockade after the end of Eid al Fitr.

Compared with the Chinese market, the demand for cotton in the western market is expected to continue to slump. The US, EU and China's cotton imports are estimated at 2 thousand bales, 133 thousand bales and 2 million 68 thousand bales. Cotton consumption in the US, EU and China is estimated at 631 thousand bales, 144 thousand packs and 8 million 274 thousand bales. Exporters say that Pakistan has exported large quantities of textiles to the western countries such as the United States, Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany and so on every year. Affected by the epidemic, Pakistan has lost a large number of export orders, and the situation is very grim. Textile exports are very important for Pakistan to maintain the balance of foreign exchange and payments. If this situation lasts for a few months, Pakistan's textile industry will be faced with a huge crisis.
