How Many Tons Of Melted Cloth Have Been Used In The Export Of 70 Billion 600 Million Chinese Masks?

Recently, the state released the white paper on China's action against the new crown pneumonia epidemic. From the data compiled by the central authorities, China exported 70 billion 600 million masks to 200 countries or regions in the world in the period of 3-5 months, which contributed greatly to the global epidemic.

So the question is, how many tons of melted cloth have been used in the 70 billion 600 million masks?

The KN95 mask machine has 175 wide and 260 wide width. We have done a set of data comparison for the two devices.

As shown above, take 50g melt blown non-woven fabric as an example:

If a 175 wide mask machine is used, the amount of melted spray cloth in a KN95 mask is about 2.152 grams in theory, and 1 tons of melt blown nonwovens can theoretically produce 464576 masks.

(d) if 260 wide (double row) mask machine is used, in theory, a KN95 mask requires about 1.6 grams of melted cloth, and 1 tons of melt blown nonwovens can theoretically produce 625391 masks.

It can be seen that 260 wide (double row) respirator equipment made of 240mm*120mm gauze mask has relatively few materials, and can produce more mask.

A mask requires only a few grams of melt spray, and a new melt blown production line usually takes a year. Melted nonwoven fabric is known as the "heart" of medical surgical masks and N95 masks. It is the filter layer in the middle of the mask. It has good filtration, shielding, heat insulation and oil absorption. It is an important raw material for producing mask. The common medical respirators are mainly made up of three layers of non-woven fabrics. The inner layer is ordinary nonwoven fabric, and the outer layer is made of waterproof non-woven fabric. It is mainly used to separate the liquid from the patients. The filter layer in the middle is the polypropylene melt blown cloth after electret treatment, which can filter out the virus attached to the body fluid.
