SECOND/LAYER was founded in 2013 by Joshua Willis, Jacob Willis and Anthony Franco. Rooted in the growth of the founders in southern California, the brand combines music, skating, surfing and street culture, with its simple lines and soft contours, reflecting the identity of the wearer, rather than relying on changing trends.
SECOND/LAYER's creative team draws inspiration from the both factory. The outline is reconstructed on the basis of traditional tooling, and the concept of "team" is taken as the core of design. This cooperation is Both shoe brand On the basis of the changing experimental spirit and the contemporary perspective of global culture, SECOND/LAYER's unique tailoring techniques and sensitive scent of design are integrated.
In this cooperation, "two" is a unique element throughout the capsule series. It is not only the attraction and collision between the two strands of design power, but also the symbol of mutual understanding and integration between the two cultures.
This capsule series is the largest collaboration of two brands in history, including a total of 15 pieces including shoes, clothing and accessories. Among them, the most representative GAO Creeper and GAO Combat boots are gradually emerging in California's wine red dreams. These two shoes are SECOND/LAYER's romantic thoughts about Losangeles in 90s. As a new member of the both family, they carry the high street style of California and blend into simple daily life. They are more interesting and fashionable.
On the back, LOGO's single breasted black coat, blue black two-color zipper long coat, oversize side pocket overalls and double bag short sleeved T-shirt are all modeled on the workers' garments in both factory.
