Us Announces Cancellation Of Special Treatment In Hongkong
On June 29th, the official website of the US Commerce Department issued a statement saying that the special treatment related to Hongkong had been cancelled, including the suspension of export licence exemption and the differential treatment assessment.
The statement pointed out that with the adoption of new security measures in Hongkong, the sensitive technology of the United States will be transferred to the PLA or the Ministry of national security, and the United States refuses to take the risk. Therefore, it decides to cancel the special status of Hongkong.
