Enabling China Africa Textile Industry Innovation And Development, China Africa Series Forum Appeared In The Cloud

"How to make China and Africa in the forefront of the new sustainable development fashion?" "How to build a better image of China in an increasingly complex context?" From August 12 to 14, a series of Sino African forums jointly sponsored by Donghua University of China and Moi University of Kenya appeared in the cloud. At the 2020 China Africa textile and clothing international forum, the China Africa cultural exchange forum and the Fifth International Fashion Communication Forum, Chinese and foreign experts and scholars collided with each other in wisdom and had wonderful views. The forum was broadcast live online, and the two sides set up separate venues. Participants could participate in the interaction online and offline. The experts at the meeting discussed how to build a Sino African knowledge sharing system to boost the construction of a community of shared destiny between China and Africa; international fashion communication in the perspective of mutual learning among civilizations; the dissemination of China's national image in the changing situation of the past century; building a cultural research platform of Confucius Institute to promote the sustainable development of cultural exchanges between China and Africa; Fashion agenda in sustainable development; transformation and opportunity: Sustainability in the post epidemic era Fashion innovation and other topics in-depth discussion.

Ms. Ruth Carroll, world bank official, Mr. Michael Stanley Jones, director of the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations sustainable fashion alliance, Dr. pan Friedman, official of the International University Alliance, and Zhao Xiyuan, the temporary representative of the Chinese Embassy in Kenya, were invited to participate in the online participation. 25 well-known experts from France, Germany and other countries made keynote speeches. In the context of increasingly complex international relations, the issue of "how to better build and disseminate China's image" has attracted the attention of Professor Feng Xiujun, Dean of the school of Marxism at the Central University of Finance and economics. She said that people and countries should understand each other through more effective exchanges to avoid misunderstanding and prejudice, which is also the role of this forum.

This year, it is a new attempt to combine the China Africa textile and clothing international forum with the China Africa cultural exchange forum and the Fifth International Fashion Communication Forum. Through the forum, the participants can share the development experience of China Africa textile and clothing and cultural communication, and enable the innovation and development of China Africa textile industry. The series of forums were co organized by the "belt and road" research center of Donghua University and the fashion culture and communication research center of Donghua University. The themes and contents of the forum were more abundant, and sustainable culture, fashion, communication and China Africa community of shared destiny were organically integrated. It is worth mentioning that the sub forum of China Africa community of common destiny is jointly built by the school of Marxism of Donghua University, the research base of Marxist theory and contemporary practice, and the Marxism Institute of Shanghai Normal University and the 21st century Marxism research center.

The forum also focused on the textile and clothing industry, covering textile history, production technology, design and manufacturing, marketing management, etc., and received 75 contributions from home and abroad, involving the basic scientific research of textile materials and textile engineering, industrial textiles and non-woven personal protective materials, creative design of textiles and clothing, development trend of textile and clothing industry after the epidemic Direction.

On the opening day of the China Africa cultural exchange forum, more than 13000 people watched the live broadcast through the official microblog and shaking tone of Donghua University. In recent years, Donghua University has actively expanded cooperation based on its discipline advantages, such as holding a series of China Africa forums, establishing the world's first Confucius Institute with textile characteristics, organizing related research and training on the belt and road initiative, and proposing the establishment of the World Textile University Alliance under the belt and road initiative. The holding of this forum will further deepen the multi-level and multi-disciplinary development between China and Africa Cooperation and exchange will boost the development of industries and disciplines.
