At present, with the joint efforts of the whole society, the epidemic situation in Xinjiang has been gradually controlled. The local government has issued various effective measures to ensure the normal operation of agricultural production and people's life. However, in order to consolidate the anti epidemic achievements, it is expected that it will take time for economic activities to fully recover.

In the middle of August, the overall temperature in Xinjiang was normal and the cotton growth was good. Judging from the preparation work before the cotton enterprises' purchase and processing, the preparation work in Northern Xinjiang is better than that in southern Xinjiang. At present, most enterprises in Northern Xinjiang have basically completed equipment maintenance and started to recruit seasonal workers, while the progress in southern Xinjiang is relatively slow. Recently, fiber inspection institutions also began to carry out network business training and assessment for the inspection business personnel of various enterprises. This year, some cotton enterprises with new production lines or technological transformation in Xinjiang have been delayed in their preparation due to the slow delivery of goods by mainland equipment manufacturers and the lack of skilled workers.

Affected by the Xinguan epidemic, Xinjiang people still can't walk around at will in the near future, which will affect the number of people coming to Xinjiang to a certain extent. Local cotton circles predict that in October, the cotton harvesting method in southern Xinjiang will incline to mechanical mining, which will shorten the harvest time to a certain extent, and the mechanical recovery rate in Xinjiang may be further improved.
