New York Fashion Week Changes The Fashion Industry
New York governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Tuesday (August 25) that 2021 New York Spring Summer Fashion Week will be held from September 13 to 17. Both offline and online fashion shows will be included. The main venue of offline fashion shows will still be held in spring studios. Cuomo said the fashion week will implement strict preventive measures, including: the number of outdoor activities will be limited to 50 people; the capacity of the indoor show will be limited to 50% and no spectators are allowed to attend; all personnel participating in the New York Fashion Week will be required to carry out temperature detection at the entrance and always wear masks.
According to past data, New York Fashion Week generates nearly $900 million in business income for New York every year, of which tourists spend more than $500 million, which has always been an important source of income for New York City.
