Recently, Henan Provincial E-Commerce Association released the report on the development of cross border e-commerce industry in Henan Province (2020). According to the report, from the comprehensive development index ranking of various cross-border e-commerce industries in Henan Province, there are great differences between the comprehensive development indexes, and the clothing, footwear, knitwear and textile industry, jewelry, food and other industries rank in the top three of all industries.

It is reported that the report was jointly studied and formed by Henan E-Commerce Association, Zhengzhou Institute of aviation industry management and Zhengzhou customs statistical analysis department. In the construction of the index system, the report selects three secondary sub indexes, namely scale index, potential index and impact index, aiming to comprehensively investigate the development level of cross-border e-commerce of various industries in Henan from three aspects of development scale, development potential and foreign economic impact.

According to the report, judging from the comprehensive development index ranking of cross-border e-commerce industries in Henan Province, there are great differences among the comprehensive development indexes. The clothing, footwear and hat industry, needle textile industry, jewelry and food industry rank among the top three industries. The comprehensive development index of clothing, shoes, hats, needle and textile industry ranked first was 56.84, and the comprehensive development index of the last pharmaceutical industry was 5.95, nearly 10 times that of the latter.

According to the analysis of the report, the reason lies in the fact that the textile industry has been a traditional advantageous industry in Henan Province for a long time. At present, the whole province has formed a complete range of industries, including cotton textile, chemical fiber, printing and dyeing, knitting, home textile, industrial use, clothing, textile machinery and textile equipment, with a complete industrial system and concentrated development of textile and clothing industry The trend is obvious, industrial clusters and characteristic parks have begun to take shape. The cross-border e-commerce business of jewelry industry mainly focuses on silver jewelry, freshwater cultured pearls, natural gemstones and semi precious stones and imitation jewelry. Among them, silver jewelry and imitation jewelry are developing rapidly. Freshwater mussels cultured in Zhumadian and Xinyang produce a large number of pearls, forming a local characteristic industry. The third is food industry, which is the traditional advantage industry of Henan Province. The food industry of Henan Province has formed the overall competitive advantage in the domestic market. It has been identified as one of the high growth industries in Henan Province, and is the strategic support industry with the most development potential and development advantages.

In addition, the report mentioned that the comprehensive development index of communication and electrical appliances industry, cosmetics industry and daily necessities industry was 33.57, 33.42 and 33.16 respectively, which was close to each other, indicating that with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, people's consumption level was constantly upgrading, which led to the rapid and balanced development of these industries. However, the comprehensive development index of home furnishing industry, sports entertainment products industry, mechanical equipment industry and cultural and office supplies industry is relatively backward, mainly because these industries fail to integrate with cross-border e-commerce, and can not provide convenient services of interconnection and symbiosis for enterprises' cross-border export; The last three industries are hardware industry, construction and decoration materials industry and pharmaceutical industry. The overall industrial aggregation degree of these three industries is not high, which affects the comprehensive development of cross-border e-commerce industry.
