The First National Textile Machinery Theme Museum Opened In Qingdao West Coast New Area

On September 15, Wangtai textile machinery Museum opened in Qingdao West Coast new area. It is the first museum with textile machinery as the theme in China, showing the development process of Wangtai textile machinery industry in an all-round way.

Wangtai textile machinery museum is located in Wangtai sub district office, West Coast new area, Qingdao. The exhibition area is more than 1500 square meters. It has more than 300 pieces of various cultural relics. It has 4 chapters and 18 exhibition areas. It integrates history, science and art. Through the old textile machinery, old photos and old scenes, the museum focuses on the glorious history of Wangtai textile machinery industry from birth to development.

It is reported that Wangtai textile machinery industry started in the 1950s, originated from two small-scale individual handicraft industry groups, from the initial start to the birth of the country's first suspension roving frame, the first computer roving frame, and then to become the top three textile machinery base in China. After more than 70 years of development history, Wangtai street has gathered nearly 400 textile machinery production enterprises, 636 supporting industrial and commercial households, with an annual production capacity of 70000 sets. The output of carding machines accounts for 85% of the total sales volume of the country, and the output of water jet looms accounts for 90% of the national total sales. At present, it has been awarded the title of "no water jet loom industrial cluster" by the National Textile Machinery Association, which is the largest textile machinery production base in China.
