China Textile Federation Environmental Protection And Resources Commission Is Honored As "WWF Green Transformation Pioneer"

Recently, a series of commemorative activities of "beautiful china nature conservation forum and World Wide Fund for nature (WWF) China's 40th anniversary" were held in Wuhan. Sun Huaibin, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech on "green transformation helps high quality development of textile industry". The environmental protection and Assets Supervision Committee of China Textile Federation was awarded the honorary title of "pioneer of green transformation of WWF".

The World Wide Fund for nature (WWF) is an independent non-governmental environmental protection organization. Since the protection of giant panda and its habitat in Wolong in 1980, WWF has gradually expanded its project areas in China to species protection, freshwater and marine ecosystem protection and sustainable utilization, sustainable development education, climate change and energy, scientific development and international policies.

At the forum, sun Huaibin reviewed the development of China's textile industry in the past 40 years, and affirmed the effectiveness of the cooperation between China Textile Federation environmental protection and assets supervision committee and WWF. He said that China's textile industry has always maintained the original intention of meeting the people's needs for a better life, complied with the requirements of the new era, and gradually defined the new orientation of "science and technology, fashion and green" for the textile industry, and initially built a textile power. China Textile Industry Federation takes the responsibility led green industry as one of the development orientations of the textile industry, actively promotes the scientific and technological innovation related to green manufacturing, guides the research and development of green technology, technology and equipment and the transformation of achievements, constructs the green manufacturing standard system of energy saving and comprehensive utilization, and cultivates the typical demonstration of "green products, green factories, green parks and green supply chain" Fan, improve the whole life cycle green management from fiber to finished product.

At present, the cooperation between the two sides has carried out comprehensive cooperation on promoting the green transformation of the textile industry under the framework of multi fields and multi-level. The two sides initially started cooperation on the field of water-saving and pollution reduction, and now the field has been continuously expanded. The two sides jointly organized a series of activities, such as "China's textile ecological civilization in ten thousand miles", "good water action in textile", "Taihu forum" and "zero abandonment of old clothes", and carried out research on the development of textile industry and regional water environment carrying capacity in Xinjiang and the Yangtze River economic belt. This year, they also jointly launched the earth surface day activities and the construction of the textile industry green development service platform (FAI) At present, the energy-saving diagnosis module of FAIS system has been officially launched, providing free energy-saving diagnosis services for industry enterprises, and special services such as water-saving diagnosis and green assessment will be launched in succession.

For the future cooperation between the two sides, sun Huaibin put forward four suggestions: first, to lead the quality improvement and green development of China's textile industry with sound standards, and strengthen the application of standards and related services. Second, from the four dimensions of green products, green factories, green parks and green supply chain, promote the application of green technology in textile industry and improve the level of comprehensive management. Third, accelerate the improvement of the functions of the green development service platform of the textile industry, and create a "platform +" ecosystem integrating green evaluation, solutions, publicity and training, and industry research. Fourth, green development of cross-border textile intangible cultural heritage, promote the upgrading and development of textile intangible cultural heritage from the perspective of sustainable development, market protection and development, so as to better protect the precious intangible cultural heritage.
