The reporter learned on December 10 that the latest data released by the Department of consumer goods industry of the Ministry of industry and information technology showed that during the period from January to November this year, China's textile and clothing export volume reached 265.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.9% year-on-year.

Specifically, in the first 11 months, China's textile exports reached 141.6 billion US dollars, an increase of 31% over the same period of last year; the cumulative exports of clothing were 123.6 billion US dollars, down 7.2% year-on-year.

In the same period of this year, China's export volume increased by 22.6% year-on-year, which was US $12.26 billion in the same period of this year, and the export volume of China increased by 11.26% compared with the same period last year.

At the same time, the Department of consumer goods industry also introduced that the economic operation of China's clothing industry continued to stabilize and recover, and the domestic and export markets continued to warm up. In the first 10 months of this year, China's garment production of Enterprises above Designated Size reached 17.8 billion pieces, of which the output in October increased by 3.1%.

From the perspective of the operation of China's textile industry, from January to October this year, driven by the demand for epidemic prevention materials, the added value of China's industrial textiles industry increased by 58.6%, and that of October increased by 50.5%; the chemical fiber manufacturing industry increased by 1.1% in October.

As a clothing related industry, China's chemical fiber output was 56.09 million tons from January to October this year, which also increased slightly by 0.3% year on year.
