In order to achieve this goal, Deng Zhongmin's team has worked hard for more than seven years, and more than 1000 kinds of materials have been tested.

    In the process of practice, they not only changed the technology and equipment, but also changed the materials. After more than 1000 tests, Deng Zhongmin's team selected the moisture absorption and heating fiber made of cotton fiber and zirconium carbide composite powder rayon fiber and polyurethane fiber to weave the upper and lower layers of fabrics, which is full of elasticity; and polyester coffee carbon fiber is also used to make the interlacing line of the middle layer, which not only helps to raise the temperature but also achieves the purpose of bacteriostasis.

    Professor Deng said that compared with the common warm clothing on the market, they use a "sandwich" structure, which uses two layers of fabric to hold the air layer, so as to retain more static air. In addition to achieving better thermal effect, the thermal layer of each layer of fabric is inside and the wear-resistant layer is outside. The clothing is more washable, not easy to pilling, and the thermal effect is more durable.

Professor Deng said that he envisioned using environmental friendly adhesive to compound the fabric to keep it warm. In the future, it could be used as an outdoor clothing fabric in extreme cold conditions for soldiers, outdoor workers and mountaineers.

    It is understood that in addition to the direction of thermal insulation, Deng Zhongmin's team has more research and development goals: moisture conduction, rain proof, etc., and make these functions composite into a fabric. "In recent years, the public demand for multifunctional textiles has increased dramatically, and there is a bright future for such textiles." The research and development achievements of Deng Zhongmin's team have obtained many patents, which have a good market prospect.
