Analysis On The Retail Situation Of Textile And Garment Industry: The Total Retail Sales Amount Is 1.54 Trillion Yuan

According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, in December, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 4056.6 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 0.4% lower than that of the previous month. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles reached 3569.5 billion yuan, an increase of 4.4%. In 2020, the total retail sales of consumer goods will reach 3919.1 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.9% over the previous year. Among them, the retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles totaled 35256.6 billion yuan, down 4.1%.

In terms of textile and clothing retail, the total retail sales of national textile and clothing reached 152.7 billion yuan in December 2020, an increase of 3.8% compared with the same period of last year. From January to December, China's total retail sales of textile and clothing exceeded 1236.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%.

From the perspective of the growth rate of textile and clothing retail sales, the growth rate of China's textile and clothing retail sales from January to December 2020 decreased by 6.6% year-on-year, which was 2.7 percentage points lower than the growth rate of social consumer goods retail sales in the same period.
