A few days ago, the Ministry of science and technology approved the construction and operation of the State Key Laboratory of new textile materials and advanced processing technology jointly constructed by the Ministry of science and technology of Wuhan Textile University, marking a historical breakthrough in the construction of national scientific research platform, which will play an important role in promoting the "double first-class" construction and further development of Wuhan Textile University.

The State Key Laboratory of textile new materials and advanced processing technology jointly constructed by the provincial and ministry is based on the "Hubei Provincial Key Laboratory for textile new materials and advanced processing technology (cultivation base)" approved by Wuhan Textile University in 2010, and further integrates the high-quality resources in the University. Since its construction, the laboratory has focused on the key common scientific issues of the textile industry chain and the important needs of the country.
