In winter, how about the quality of scarf, down jacket and cotton padded clothes? The provincial market supervision bureau recently issued a notice on the quality supervision and random inspection of winter clothing products in 2020.

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the provincial market supervision bureau organized the supervision and random inspection on the quality of six kinds of winter clothing products, such as scarves, down jackets (adults and children), duvets, cashmere sweaters, stormsuits and cotton padded clothes. A total of 350 batches were selected, 307 batches were qualified, and the average qualified rate was 87.7%. Among them, 40 batches of scarves were inspected, 30 batches were qualified, and the qualified rate was 75%; 140 batches of down clothing (adults and children) were randomly selected, 121 batches were qualified, with the qualified rate of 86.4%; 45 batches of down quilt were selected, 44 batches were qualified, with the qualified rate of 97.8%; 25 times were selected, 22 batches were qualified, with the qualified rate of 88%; 50 batches of cashmere sweaters were randomly selected, with a qualified rate of 100%; and 50 batches of cotton padded clothes were selected The qualified rate is 80%.

Relevant people from the provincial Market Supervision Bureau suggested that when purchasing winter clothing products, attention should be paid to check whether the instructions (i.e. product identification) are marked in Chinese, and whether the name and address of the manufacturer, product name, fiber composition and content, and product standards implemented shall be indicated.

When purchasing down products, attention should be paid to the type of down, down content, down filling amount and other information. Good quality down products should not smell obvious smell. If there is obvious smell, it means that down has not undergone strict process treatment and water washing and disinfection.

When choosing and purchasing, you should pay attention to check the logo. According to the functional requirements, stormwear can be divided into grade I and grade II. Grade I is suitable for professional outdoor activities, and class II products can meet the daily outdoor leisure activities.
