Sun Huaibin, A Leader In The Cause Of Intangible Cultural Heritage In Textile Industry, Is Listed As The Person Of The Year In 2020

On February 26, under the guidance of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of culture and tourism, and sponsored by Guangming Daily and guangming.com, the results of the publicity campaign for the selection of Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage figures in 2020 were officially announced. Sun Huaibin, vice president of China Textile Industry Federation, was awarded the person of the year of China Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020.

It is reported that the event is mainly composed of intangible cultural heritage inheritors. Considering various factors such as the candidate's region, category, composition and so on, it fully measures the candidate's symbolic, leading, innovative, exemplary and annual representativeness, and determines 30 nominees from 100 candidates. Among them, there are 21 inheritors, 3 curators, entrepreneurs and artists, 3 managers, 3 researchers, media people, communicators and educators. The 21 inheritors cover eight of the ten categories of intangible cultural heritage, including 18 at the national level, 1 at the provincial and autonomous region level, 1 at the state level and 1 at the county level. Finally, through the expert committee voting and network review, 10 "Chinese intangible cultural heritage of the year 2020" were identified.
