80% Of Down Jacket Samples Failed To Meet The Standard In Live Broadcast Platform: Some Products Are Suspected Of Fraud

According to CCTV financial micro blog news, recently, Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission and Ningbo Municipal Consumer Protection Commission randomly purchased 30 batches of down garments on various live network platforms, and carried out comparative tests on fiber content, formaldehyde, clothing logo, down content, puffiness, cleanliness, oxygen consumption and fabric color fastness.

The prices of the samples ranged from 138 yuan to 599.5 yuan per piece, and most of them were products with high sales volume and top recommended products in the platforms. The results showed that among the 30 batches of down jacket, 24 batches did not meet the national mandatory or recommended product standards, accounting for 80% of the total purchase batches. It is very common that the down content is insufficient, the amount of down filling is not marked, or the indication is not clear.

In addition, some problems were found in the spot check, such as the label did not meet the national standard, and the down fluffy index was not ideal.

Chen Chao, Secretary General of Ningbo Municipal Consumer Protection Commission in Zhejiang Province, said: the amount of down filling does not meet the requirements of national standards, and its cost is relatively low. Less than 50% can not be called down jacket, which is suspected of consumer fraud.
