In The First Two Months, The Added Value Of Xinjiang Textile Industry Increased By 107.6% Year On Year

Recently, Xinjiang's industrial economy has made a good start. The added value of Industrial Enterprises above designated size has increased by 19.6% year on year, the highest value in recent 15 years.

It is understood that since this year, with the release of social stability dividend and the achievement of phased important achievements in the prevention and control of epidemic situation in Xinjiang, the important production factors of coal, electricity, oil, gas and transportation in Xinjiang are fully guaranteed, the supply chain of enterprise industrial chain is safe and stable, and the industrial economy continues to improve.

As the leading indicator of industry, the changes of electricity consumption, railway transportation volume and goods import and export reflect the active degree of regional economy. In the first two months, Xinjiang accumulated 76.47 billion kwh of power generation, up 22.7% year-on-year; 17.76 billion kwh of electricity was delivered from Xinjiang, an increase of 45.2%; and 29.371 million tons of railway goods were delivered, with a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.

In the first two months, the industrial added value of 14 prefectures and cities in Xinjiang achieved positive growth. Among the top ten key industrial industries in Xinjiang, the growth rate of equipment manufacturing, textile, agricultural and sideline food processing, building materials, steel, coal, power, nonferrous metals and chemical industry maintained double-digit growth, while the oil industry maintained steady growth. It is worth mentioning that the production load of textile and garment enterprises in Xinjiang has rebounded rapidly. The output of yarn and chemical fiber in Xinjiang has increased by 84.2% and 10.6% respectively on a year-on-year basis. The business income of textile and garment enterprises above designated size has increased by about 30%, and the whole textile and garment industry has turned losses into profits. In the first two months, the added value of textile industry increased by 107.6% year on year.

This year, Xinjiang will carry out "enterprise assistance research activities" through field research and discussion with project and enterprise leaders to help enterprises solve specific difficulties and problems, and promote the steady growth of Xinjiang's industrial economy. At the same time, we will continue to do a good job in tracking services for 50 major industrial and information projects in 2021, establish a "point-to-point" assistance mechanism, master the latest progress of key projects, sort out the problems existing in the projects, and coordinate with relevant departments to solve the problems and difficulties in project construction, promote the early commencement of the project, reach the production capacity and increase efficiency, and promote the steady growth of industrial investment.
