Monitoring object: 154 specialized storage warehouses of cotton in 18 provinces and cities

In April, the supply of domestic cotton resources was abundant, and the stock of imported cotton warehouse was high. Cotton and cotton yarn prices rose as a whole, textile enterprises maintained a high operating rate, downstream market production and sales were smooth, raw material inventory was further consumed, and demand for replenishment of cotton raw materials increased slightly. At the end of the month, cotton turnover inventory continued to decline and the decline rate expanded. According to the survey data of 154 cotton delivery and supervision warehouses in 18 provinces and cities of the national cotton trading market by the cotton logistics branch of China Cotton Association, the total turnover inventory of cotton was about 3229700 tons at the end of April, with a decrease of 446300 tons on a month on month basis, which was slightly larger than that of last month, and was lower than 210300 tons in the same period of last year.

1. The turnover stock of commodity cotton in the mainland increased

As of the end of April, the turnover inventory of commercial cotton in the mainland was 756900 tons, an increase of 138800 tons on a month on month basis; It includes 610300 tons of Xinjiang cotton, 85400 tons of imported cotton and 61200 tons of local cotton.

In terms of provinces, Jiangsu Province ranks first with 240300 tons, followed by Shandong Province with 217900 tons, Henan Province with 193300 tons, Hebei Province with 38900 tons, Hubei Province with 35700 tons, and other provinces with less than 10000 tons.

From the change of inventory, the increase of some provinces with large consumption is more obvious, but the fluctuation of most provinces is not big, and the overall inventory volume is significantly higher than that of last month. Among them, the largest increase was in Jiangsu Province, an increase of 54800 tons compared with the previous month; Secondly, Shandong Province increased 39000 tons; In addition, Sichuan Province decreased by 1600 tons; The fluctuation range of other provinces is less than 0800 tons.

2. The cotton inventory in Xinjiang has dropped sharply

As of the end of April, the turnover inventory of commodity cotton in 43 warehouses in Xinjiang was 2472800 tons, a decrease of 585100 tons on a month on month basis and a decrease of 192400 tons on a year-on-year basis.
