In the face of such a serious flood, textile enterprises that used to keep working all year round and even had no holidays during the Spring Festival were forced to stop production. According to local people, the textile scale in Huixian county is over one million spindles, and cotton yarn is sold well in other provinces and cities in China. The proportion of factories affected by the disaster is as high as 50%. Due to the high and low terrain of enterprises, the degree of disaster is different.

It is understood that the machinery and equipment in the cotton and cotton yarn warehouses and workshops of the severely affected enterprises were all flooded, and the direct loss amount was as high as tens of millions. Even the enterprises with less affected degree were also faced with the dilemma that they could not start work in time.

Another person in charge of a textile enterprise in Huixian County said that at present, production self-help work is mainly carried out. After two days of continuous pumping, the accumulated water in the factory area has been completely drained. At present, it is seizing no time to pull the flooded cotton to the open space for drying, so as to prevent mildew and aggravate the deterioration of cotton flowers. The above is the dominant loss, and there are also some hidden losses. The flooded cotton raw materials were purchased at a low price in the early stage. If we continue to purchase new flowers, the production cost will undoubtedly increase, because the cotton price has been rising for a period of time.

At the same time, the cotton yarn stored in the warehouse is also flooded, which is hard to recover. Once the cotton yarn is flooded and soaked, it will be very difficult to use the next process. According to the person in charge, the downstream customers have already understood our loss and some orders that cannot be delivered in time have generally expressed their understanding and support.

At present, the local flood has receded, and the enterprises are trying their best to carry out production and self rescue. Due to the serious disaster, the workshop machinery and equipment and the laboratory have been immersed in water for about two days, so the recovery of production is still facing great difficulties.

The head of a local textile enterprise said that it was like a computer soaked in water, even if it was dried, it could not be turned on immediately. Now enterprises are purchasing parts, replacing damaged parts, and starting work as soon as possible. Now the cotton yarn market continues to go high, delaying a day, enterprises lose a lot.

In addition to the above reasons, the time for employees to return to work on time is also full of uncertainty. It is reported that the disaster area is large, the employees are villagers from nearby villages, and almost all employees' homes and farmland have been flooded. All the staff have gone home to fight the disaster and save the losses. In addition, due to the flooding of many harvested wheat, the staff needed to air them immediately to prevent mildew. The flooded corn and other properties were seriously damaged, so it was necessary to replant other crops. Due to the above reasons, the staff can not return to work on time. This also has a great impact on the normal resumption of production.
