ICAC Reported That It Was A Problem How To Transport Cotton To Textile Mills

International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) released a monthly report that cotton fundamentals are good. The cotton production in 2021 / 22 is estimated to be 26.11 million tons, and the consumption is stable at 25.67 million tons. At present, the problem faced by the cotton industry is how to transport cotton to textile mills. Many cotton companies are in trouble as the new crown epidemic disrupts global shipping. The supply chain for cotton is longer and more complex than most other commodities, and much of the cotton in the west is transported half a world to countries that have transformed it into textiles. ?
Countries have to respond by streamlining their supply chains. In 2020 / 21, China, Vietnam and Pakistan import a lot of cotton from the United States. But then imports turned to Brazil and Australia.
Australia's geographical location is close to East Asia and South Asia, which provides Australia with obvious advantages in shipping to Bangladesh, Pakistan and Vietnam.
The ICAC's current price forecast range for the 2021 / 22 average a index is 101-120 cents, with a median of 109 cents / pound.
