Since its appearance at the beginning of the 20th century, it has been widely used in many fields, such as clothing fabrics, parachutes, safety ropes, bags and so on. Its outstanding shortcomings are poor permeability, water absorption and antistatic properties. Improving and improving its properties and developing high-performance fiber grade nylon products are the direction to improve the quality and performance of nylon products.

The performance and quality of nylon products, to a large extent, depends on the quality of its raw material polyamide. Copolyamide chips were synthesized by copolymerization of caprolactam with lactam or diamine diacid salt, which was used in the production of nylon products. The current industry standard FZ / T 51004-2011 "fiber grade polycaprolactam chips" is applicable to the fiber grade polycaprolactam chips produced by traditional methods, which fails to provide quality basis and technical support for the synthetic high-performance fiber grade copolyamide chips.

In order to meet the needs of innovation and market demand, Guangdong Xinhui Meida nylon Co., Ltd., South China University of technology and Guangdong Caiyan Co., Ltd. jointly compiled the standard of "high performance fiber grade copolyamide chip" on the basis of investigation, which was issued by Guangdong Standardization Association as a group standard.

The technical specifications of high performance fiber grade copolyamide chips are specified in 8 aspects. Among them, the content of amino group and carboxyl group in hot water extraction is higher than that of other standards, such as the content of amino group and carboxyl group in hot water, which are closely related to the industry standard.

The water content of the excellent product is less than or equal to 0.02% of the industry standard. Lower moisture content, easier to maintain the molecular weight of the melt, is conducive to reduce the structural defects of the fiber, improve the tensile ratio, so as to achieve high strength properties; The content of high-grade hot water extractable product should be less than 0.3%, which is 0.2% lower than the standard. The hot water extractable material is low molecular weight material, the content is reduced, which is conducive to improve the high draw ratio of fiber processing; In terms of melting point, the melting point range of superior products is defined as ± 2.0 ℃, which is smaller than the industry standard range of 215-225 ℃.

In addition, GB / T 19466.3-2004 "plastics differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) - Part 3: Determination of melting and crystallization temperatures and enthalpy" is used to test the melting point of the pellets, so as to ensure more accurate melting point control. A large number of experiments have proved that the properties of nylon products produced by the standard copolyamide chips are obviously optimized. For example, as a clothing fabric, due to the increase in strength, the fabric tends to be light and thin, and the air permeability is obviously improved.

According to the evaluation of the expert group, the group standard is based on the improvement and optimization of the performance index of nylon products. Starting from the production of raw materials, the technical requirements for high-performance fiber grade copolyamide chips are specified, and the market prospect is broad. It can promote and support the quality improvement of its downstream products, such as clothing fabrics, parachutes and cables, and the high-quality development of the industry.
