Ministry Of Commerce: Bangladesh Seeks To Expand Exports Of Synthetic Garments
According to Bangladesh's daily sun on September 15, Faruk Hassan, chairman of the Bangladesh garment manufacturers and Exporters Association (bgmea), said at a meeting between bgmea complex in Dhaka and dhiraj raichand Shah, chairman of Bangladesh's synthetic and rayon Textile Export Promotion Committee (SRTEPC), on Wednesday, as global demand for synthetic clothing is rising, Bangladesh is seeking to take advantage of the export potential of man-made fiber (MMF) clothing. The garment industry of Bangladesh is paying great attention to the diversification of clothing products, especially non cotton and high-value commodities. India has a large textile industry, with a considerable supply capacity of man-made fibers and blended textiles, and India is also an important export destination for Mengdong garments. This business situation creates opportunities for Bangladesh and India to promote the development of garment and textile industries in the two countries. Faruk Hassan also stressed strengthening more direct business interaction between Bangladesh garment exporters and Indian textile suppliers in order to strengthen mutually beneficial relations for both sides.
