"This year, I planted 800 mu of cotton, and now the yield per mu is 450 to 500 kg, and now all cotton is harvested by machine," said tuniyaz abudukader, a major cotton grower in Yingmaili village, karatale Town, Aksu city

In 2022, 1.12 million mu of cotton will be planted in Aksu city. With the maturity of cotton, the city plans to invest 194 large-scale cotton pickers for field work, seize the opportunity to harvest cotton.

Yassen tuniyazi, a cotton farmer, said that the 85 Mu cotton growing situation of his family this year is gratifying. Different from previous years, this year's cotton planting mode was all machine picked, and it took less than a day to complete the machine picking operation.

Yassen tuniyazi, a cotton farmer, said: "last year, I sold 240000 yuan of cotton, and this year it is expected to sell 340000 yuan. This year, the climate is good and the cotton field is well controlled, so the yield per mu is high."

Aksu region is a large cotton planting area in Xinjiang. In order to continuously consolidate and enhance the dominant position of cotton industry, the local government has vigorously promoted the high-efficiency water-saving drip irrigation, dry sowing and wet out and full mechanized picking technology through the implementation of high-quality development of cotton industry, so as to promote the cotton industry to be more scientific, sustainable and efficient.

It is reported that in 2022, the planting mode area of machine picked cotton in Aksu area of Xinjiang will reach 7.09 million mu, which provides a prerequisite for the whole mechanization of cotton production. The mechanized harvesting of local cotton has reached more than 80%, which can save hundreds of millions of yuan of harvest cost alone, and also advance the end time of cotton harvest by 10 days.
