Digital Technology Drives Consumption Upgrading, Cross-Border E-Commerce Has Become An Important Hand In Stabilizing Foreign Trade And Promoting Consumption In China
According to the news and Newspaper Abstracts of the voice of China Central Radio and television, China Council for the promotion of international trade (CCPIT) recently released the report on the development trend of China's e-commerce in 2022: the important role of e-commerce in high-quality economic development (hereinafter referred to as the report) shows that the new mode of e-commerce represented by live e-commerce is accelerating, Under the support of policies, cross-border e-commerce has become an important starting point to stabilize foreign trade and promote consumption.
According to the report, since the outbreak of new crown pneumonia, the purchase of goods through live e-commerce has gradually become a "normal" shopping mode for consumers. With the implementation of relevant policies to deal with the chaos of live e-commerce, the live e-commerce is developing rapidly in the process of keeping integrity and innovation. Zhao Ping, vice president of CCPIT Research Institute, said that as of June 2022, the number of live e-commerce users in China had reached 469 million, an increase of 204 million over March 2020, accounting for 44.6% of the total Internet users.
Zhao Ping: the live e-commerce platform has gone out of the path of pure price competition. More and more time-honored brands and well-known brands have entered the live e-commerce, and the quality and level of the live e-commerce platform supply has also been significantly improved.
According to the report, in 2022, in the face of complex and severe domestic and foreign situations and multiple factors beyond expectations, cross-border e-commerce will play an important role in stabilizing foreign trade by virtue of online trading, non-contact delivery and short trading chain.
Zhao Ping: in the first half of this year, the import and export volume of cross-border e-commerce increased by 28.6% year-on-year, fully demonstrating the very strong vitality of the new cross-border e-commerce trade format in the development process.
On the other hand, cross-border e-commerce import has become a new path of consumer consumption upgrading in China.
Zhao Ping: the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce platform has greatly met the demand of consumers for high-quality products with characteristics of various countries in the world, which has made great contribution to China's economic growth.
