Shantou Launches Several Rewards And Compensation Measures To Support The Development Of Textile And Garment Industry

Shantou Municipal Government recently held an executive meeting to review and approve in principle the Measures of Shantou to Support the Development of Textile and Garment Industry, implement relevant reward and subsidy measures from ten aspects, and expand the textile and garment industry with distinctive advantages.

In terms of fixed asset investment incentives, textile and clothing enterprises that have newly completed fixed asset investment of more than 50 million yuan and meet relevant conditions will be rewarded according to a certain proportion of the actual fixed asset investment, with a maximum reward of 30 million yuan for a single enterprise. High quality projects with fixed asset investment of more than 1 billion yuan will be rewarded and supported in the way of "one case, one discussion".

In terms of incentives for quick entry of enterprises, the top 50 textile and clothing production enterprises that purchase the factory buildings in the municipal textile and clothing industry base with a main business income of more than 100 million yuan in the first year will be given subsidies of no more than 5% of the actual purchase price of the factory buildings, with a maximum reward of 1.5 million yuan for a single enterprise. For the top 50 wholesale and retail enterprises engaged in textile and clothing related businesses that purchase shops in the municipal textile and clothing industry base with sales of more than 100 million yuan (including 100 million yuan) in the first year, a subsidy of no more than 10% of the actual purchase price of shops will be given, with a maximum reward of 1 million yuan for a single enterprise.

Shantou also encourages the operation platform of the municipal textile and clothing industry base to provide rent free policies for standard factories and shops for enterprises settled in the base, and gives subsidies and rewards to the operation platform. The reward standard is not more than 5 yuan per square meter per month (factory) and not more than 10 yuan per square meter per month (shop), and the subsidy period is not more than 3 years.

In addition, certain rewards will be given to the introduction or training of high-level design talents, the settlement of headquarters enterprises, and the construction of live broadcast bases. Shantou will also speed up the approval process, further optimize the "green channel" services for textile and clothing industry projects, support enterprises to recruit workers and stabilize their posts, and encourage and promote high-quality development of the textile industry.

The meeting stressed that it is necessary to give play to the role of the Chamber of Commerce Association and grass-roots towns and streets, support and guide enterprises to actively apply for awards, and timely honor awards, so that more enterprises can enjoy policy dividends, and promote the textile and clothing industry to a new level.
