The 2023 National Textile And Garment Industry Regional Cooperation And Development Conference Was Held In Yanji

On June 16, the 2023 National Conference on Regional Cooperation and Development of Textile and Clothing Industry was held in Yanji. Li Guoqiang said in his speech that Jilin is an important national industrial base. Over the years, Jilin Province has made every effort to promote the high-quality development of the textile industry, accelerated the building of a garment processing base based in Yanbian, and formed a relatively complete industrial system of chemical fibers, cotton textiles, wool textiles, clothing, industrial textiles and other categories. The next five years will be a critical period for comprehensively implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and making new breakthroughs in promoting the overall revitalization of Jilin in the process of Chinese modernization. Jilin Province will promote the construction of the whole industrial chain of carbon fiber, focus on improving R&D and innovation capabilities, expand and strengthen the light industry and textile industry, and promote the overall competitiveness of the textile and clothing industry. Xia Lingmin said in his speech that Yanbian, based on its profound cultural heritage, deeply cultivates its advantageous resource endowments and vigorously develops its textile and clothing industry, has formed a complete processing system of fashion, suits, work clothes, casual wear, down jackets, bags, shoes and hats. It is hoped that Yanbian will make full use of its location, policies, resources and other advantages, vigorously undertake industrial transfer, increase investment in innovation factors, encourage enterprises to strengthen product development and research on fashion trends, guide the integration of R&D and design with local characteristics and culture, speed up building Yanbian into a new cluster of innovation and development in the textile and clothing industry, and make new contributions to the construction of Chinese modernization.

At the meeting, Hong Qing introduced the development of textile and clothing industry in Yanbian Prefecture. Chen Yao, vice president and secretary-general of China Association of Regional Economics, researcher, professor and doctoral advisor of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, made an analysis around the current development trend of China's industrial transfer. Guo Hongjun, Deputy Director of the Industry Development Department of the China Textile Industry Federation, Deputy Director of the Industrial Park Office, and Vice President of the China Textile Construction Planning Institute, made a speech on promoting the strategic coordination between industry and regional development and promoting the transfer of textile and clothing industry.
