Textile industry is a traditional characteristic industry in Hongze District. In 2022, Hongze District won the title of Jiangsu High tech Textile Industry Base.

Hongze fiber industry cluster is not a simple industrial undertaking, but an industrial upgrading towards differentiation and high-end development. As the largest industrial project invested by Hongze District, the landing of "aircraft carrier" enterprises in the domestic textile industry, Taihua New Materials, has added confidence to the upgrading of fiber industry in Hongze District. It only takes 70 days from signing the contract to commencement, and it takes 14 months from the excavation of the first shovel of soil to completion and production. This is the "Hongze speed" of the construction of the Taihua New Material Project, and also lays the foundation for the leapfrog development of the textile industry in Hongze District in the future.

The total investment of Taihua New Material Green Multifunctional Nylon New Material Integration Project is 12 billion yuan. After the project is completed, it is estimated that the annual output value will be about 15 billion yuan. "In recent years, we have focused on the recruitment and cultivation of large projects, long chains, and high-tech textile enterprises. As the core project of Hongze Green Regenerative Differentiated Fiber Ecosphere, a 250000 ton/year green renewable fiber industrial chain negative carbon base project with a total investment of 5.2 billion yuan can reduce carbon emissions by 90%, and 120000 tons/year negative carbon emissions can be achieved after all the projects are completed and put into operation. The differential spinning project with an annual output of 100000 tons invested and constructed by Jiangsu Sanlian New Materials Co., Ltd. has trial production of spinning and texturing devices. The company uses the chip spinning process to produce differential polyester fibers, which can realize flexible customization of products according to customer needs, greatly improving the competitiveness of products.
