The Preliminary Evaluation Meeting Of The Ninth "Puyuan Cup" PH Value China Knitting Designer Competition Was Successfully Held In Tongxiang Puyuan

On October 27, 2023, the preliminary evaluation meeting of the ninth "Puyuan Cup" PH Value China Knitting Designer Competition was successfully held in Tongxiang Puyuan. Lin Yunfeng, President of China Knitting Industry Association, Qu Jing, Vice President of China Knitting Industry Association and Chairman of the Competition Jury, Li Yong, Director of the Management Committee of Puyuan Knitting Industry Park, Li Xiajie, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Puyuan Knitting Industry Park, Wu Bingming, President of the Fashion Branch of China Knitting Industry Association and President of Zhejiang Woolen Sweater Association, and other leaders, Liu Xiaogang, professor of Donghua University, judge of the competition, Lin Qiwei, design director of Ordos Cashmere Group, Pan Yiliang, designer of Jinding Award and GIOIAPAN brand manager, Ge Chaoqun, director of exceptional knitting products, Chen Xi, director of Yaying Design, Liu Yanjun, director of China's top ten fashion designers, director of SIFEC&JUNNE Fashion Knitting R&D Center and technical consultant of the competition, and China's top ten fashion designers An Bo, president of Tongxiang Woolen Sweater Designers Association and technical consultant of the competition, Liang Yong, director of China Knitting Fashion Creative Center and technical consultant of the competition, and others attended the preliminary evaluation meeting.

The "Puyuan Cup" PH Value Chinese Knitting Designer Competition, guided by the China Textile Industry Federation and co sponsored by the China Knitting Industry Association, the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Fashion Designers Association and the Tongxiang Puyuan Knitting Industry Park Management Committee, is the most influential knitting fashion design competition. This year, it was selected into the series of activities of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Commerce on "optimizing supply to promote upgrading" of textile and clothing. This competition is divided into Puyun Ingenious Track and Digital Intelligence Pioneer Track. After five months of publicity and solicitation, 1509 valid works were received from 182 colleges and universities and design institutions in 7 countries and regions, including China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), the United States, Britain, France, Italy, South Korea and Thailand.

Director Li Yong said that Puyuan has always been working closely with the China Knitting Industry Association to attach importance to the landing of design and docking with the market. Today's Puyuan combines tradition with modernity, meets ancient charm with fashion, and collides history with future. There is no wool here, but it warms the whole world. There are as many as 200000 practitioners upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, forming a complete sweater industrial chain. Knitting industry has become the core IP for Puyuan's industrial upgrading. It is hoped that the competition will inject fresh blood into the knitting industry of Puyuan, so that the newly selected designers can become an important force to promote the development of the new fashion industry of Puyuan as soon as possible.

President Lin Yunfeng said that the continuous holding of the "Puyuan Cup" competition has successfully attracted the attention of the industry and local people to the concept of "knitting designers", and promoted the empowerment of design colleges, design masters and brand resources to Puyuan. "Puyuan Cup" has become a business card and cultural IP of Puyuan, an industrial ecology that can continue content innovation, topic dissemination, public participation, and traffic creation, breaking the original boundary between sweater manufacturing and life, and realizing a more humane and warm industrial development. Promoting the deep integration and development of the digital economy and textile industry is an important measure of the China Textile Federation to "build a modern textile industry system". This year, the "Puyuan Cup" competition added a "Digital Intelligence Pioneer Track", hoping to promote the digital development process in the field of knitting design and find more composite design talents to meet the needs of digital development.

It has become the most influential professional event in the field of Chinese knitting fashion, and is a highlight on the fashion upgrade of the knitting industry.

In this preliminary evaluation, 20 groups of works will be finalists, including 15 groups of Pu Yun's ingenious track works and 5 groups of digital intelligence pioneer track works. The results will be announced recently.
