On December 12, the 3rd China Cotton Textile Science and Technology Conference "Tianmen Textile Machinery" with the theme of "Science and Technology ? Integration ? Fusion" was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province.

We should continue to adhere to the "four orientations", focus on building an international competitive advantage in textile technology, ensuring the safety and stability of the cotton textile industry chain supply chain, and serving the needs of national economic and social development, promote the formation of a scientific and technological innovation system that is "driven by top-level design, driven by major tasks, and supported by basic capabilities", and give full play to the leading and exemplary role of scientific and technological backbone enterprises, We will improve the training system for scientific and technological talents and skilled personnel, and significantly improve the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. The third is the courage to be the first and to create a new track in the traditional field. On the one hand, it is necessary to speed up the solution of the "choke" problem of key core technologies and improve the safety level of the industrial chain supply chain; On the other hand, it is necessary to match the position of the world's first industrial scale, form a "gravitational field" of innovation, promote disruptive and revolutionary technologies, create new tracks, open up new fields, lead new needs, and achieve new leadership.

"Hubei's cotton textile industry has outstanding advantages, with an operating revenue of 153.3 billion yuan in 2022, an increase of 8.4% year on year, accounting for 45.6% of the entire textile and clothing industry." Zhou Kaibin, deputy director of the Department of Economy and Information Technology of Hubei Province, said that the conference held in Wuhan was a valuable learning opportunity for the local textile industry.
