China Woolen Association Investigates The "Famous City Of Chinese Craft Sweaters" In Chenghai District, Shantou City

On January 11, Chairman Liu Jiaqiang and his entourage went to the enterprises of "China's Famous Craft Sweaters City" and "China's Craft Sweaters Export Base" in Chenghai District to learn about production, marketing and industry conditions during the China Woolen Association's attendance at the Shantou High Quality Development Conference on Textile and Clothing Industry. Lin Weixian, president, Cai Yue, vice president, and Zhang Yu, secretary-general of Chenghai District Textile and Garment Association investigated together, and communicated with the principals of key enterprises of the Association, such as Guangdong Hongtai Fashion Clothing Co., Ltd., Shantou Chenghai Wansheng Woolen Weaving Factory Co., Ltd., and Shantou Longhu Jingang Dyeing Factory.

It was learned from the visit that in the face of the great challenges brought by the international environmental turbulence to the export of sweaters in Chenghai District in the past year, Chenghai sweaters enterprises actively responded, innovated and carried out work, and maintained a stable and good trend. First, balance and optimize according to market demand, connect design and sales resources in Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and other places, adjust production plans and actively respond, and increase flexible management in R&D, design and production to improve quick response. The second is to connect market resources for enterprises through cross-border e-commerce channels such as Alibaba, Xiyin and Amazon, creating new growth points for foreign trade and domestic sales transformation. Third, excellent enterprises accelerated the supporting production layout in Guangxi, Jiangxi, Fujian and other surrounding provinces and cities, and further integrated and optimized chain resources. Through a series of measures to offset external environmental risks, it has played a key role in maintaining the orderly and healthy development of the traditional sweater industry.

Next, the craft sweater industry in Chenghai District will continue to focus on the development and application of functional and environment-friendly wool textile fiber materials, research and development and industrialization of printing and dyeing technology, improve the supply chain system of origin and digital products, and drive the coordinated development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
