Shaoxing Keqiao Helps Textile Enterprises "Go Global" With High Quality

On March 18, the 2024 Keqiao Textile Expo Overseas Exhibition and the Second China Textile City South Korea Seoul Noodle Accessories Exhibition opened. 63 high-quality textile enterprises in Keqiao District, Shaoxing, with more than 15000 high-quality innovative fabrics, appeared in Seoul, South Korea, making precise and efficient docking with Korean garment enterprises and buyers.

This is also the first overseas exhibition held by Keqiao District in 2024. The exhibition will last for three days. Compared with 2023, the exhibition area will expand from 1500 square meters to 3800 square meters. There will be 101 booths on site, and the invitation of buyers and industry experts will be more diversified and precise. "We have gained a lot of potential customers." The person in charge of a textile booth told the reporter that in just one hour, they received a large intention order - 40000 meters of lightweight down jacket fabric, and they agreed to go to the customer's place to talk in detail these days.

In 2024, Keqiao District will further promote the "sweet potato economy" to upgrade the "No. 1 opening project", deepen the "Silk Road Keqiao Buman Global" action, organize enterprises to "go out to sea" to grab orders through self held exhibitions, group exhibitions and other forms, and explore emerging markets such as ASEAN, Africa and Latin America on the basis of stabilizing traditional overseas markets. Up to now, Keqiao District has organized 10 groups and 190 enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions.

At present, another overseas exhibition is also under active preparation. In May 2024, the 2024 Keqiao Textile Expo Overseas Exhibition and the first "Silk Road Keqiao · Global" Central Asia Textile Surface and Accessories Exhibition will be held in Uzbekistan. "The exhibition is planned to be held at the same time and place as Uzbekistan Central Asia International Textile Exhibition, and the registration has far exceeded expectations." said the relevant person in charge of the Keqiao District Bureau of Commerce.

Central Asia has become the most potential export market in Keqiao District. In 2023, Keqiao's export to the Central Asian market will be about 6 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of more than 40%. Uzbekistan, with 65% of the population in Central Asia, is the largest consumer market in the region. "At this stage, Uzbekistan's productivity is far from meeting the growing demand of the market, especially in textiles, fashion and accessories, which provides a good opportunity for Keqiao enterprises to enter the Central Asian market," said the person in charge.

Overseas exhibition is just one of the measures taken by Keqiao District to help textile enterprises "go global" with high quality. Since 2023, Keqiao has accelerated the construction of an international marketing system, promoted the construction of four "overseas" projects, namely, overseas warehouses, overseas stations, overseas pavilions and overseas exhibitions, further improved the international logistics system, unblocked overseas trade channels, and served enterprises to deepen and expand the international market. "In addition to the exhibition, Keqiao also plans to build a public overseas warehouse in Kyrgyzstan, another major market in Central Asia, to provide textile fabric enterprises with 'one-stop' warehousing and logistics services," said the person in charge. In addition, in November 2023, Dubai Overseas Warehouse, a Chinese textile city with a total area of about 1000 square meters, has been put into operation.
