Ten Billion Level Modern Textile City Rises On The South Bank Of Minjiang River

On this schedule, the cooperation between Zhejiang and Sichuan has left a deep imprint: in 2018, the Zhejiang Sichuan Industrial Cooperation Demonstration Park in Pingshan County, Yibin City was opened. By the end of 2023, the park has gathered 41 textile enterprises, and the total operating income of enterprises above designated size has reached 9.93 billion yuan. In the past five years, a ten billion level modern textile city has emerged on the south bank of Minjiang River.

Recently, an interview group with the theme of "Zhejiang and Sichuan are close to each other, creating a mountain and sea situation" came to Pingshan to visit the "mountain and sea classics" of the industry.

Entering the vortex spinning workshop of Yibin Tianzhihua Textile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yibin Tianzhihua"), rows of machines are running without manual operation, spinning wheels come and go online, and yarns "fly around into spindles"

"This equipment is the most advanced in the world, and it is the largest one here at present. It will reach 500 sets in 2027, making it the largest vortex spinning production base in China." Hou Chunchun, deputy general manager of the company, said that these equipment had been ordered several years ago. "In 2022, the operating revenue of Yibin Tianzhihua will exceed that of Jiaxing headquarters. In 2023, it will achieve double-digit growth, with an output value of 1.58 billion yuan. In 2027, the output value is expected to exceed 4 billion yuan."

The development track of Yibin Tianzhihua is representative of the Demonstration Park, which is upgraded in the process of transfer and the focus of development is shifted to the west. 19 textile enterprises in the park, such as Hecheng and Fulsen, come from Jiaxing, and the other 22 enterprises are attracted from Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai and other places through the industrial chain. Of the 41 textile enterprises, only 5 are downstream product manufacturers, and the rest are midstream and upstream enterprises. "This industry has a wide adaptability, and will continue to attract clothing, home textile and other finished products enterprises to extend the back-end value chain in the future," said Li Youxuan, a temporary cadre in Zhejiang and deputy director of the Planning and Construction Bureau of Pingshan Economic Development Zone.

Why did you develop the textile industry in Pingshan County? Zhou Dekui, the full-time deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Administrative Committee of Pingshan Economic Development Zone, introduced that in 2017, Jiaxing and Yibin grasped the trend of industrial transfer, integrated the convergence of Jiaxing's "cage for birds" and Yibin's "nest for phoenix", and decided to promote industrial upgrading in industrial transfer. At that time, there were 7 small textile enterprises in Pingshan County, and Jieliya, a leading enterprise in Yibin, had outstanding comprehensive advantages due to the convenient high-speed railway and high-speed transportation in the country. The two cities decided to jointly cultivate Pingshan County's textile industry.

In 2023, Pingshan County will achieve a gross regional product of 11.951 billion yuan, more than double that of 2018, and achieve outstanding results in becoming a strong industrial county.
